Reheat: Reheat leftovers in the microwave or on the stovetop. You’ll likely need to add a splash of milk or water to the oatmeal before or after heating to help loosen it up and restore its creamy consistency.
Freeze: Cooked banana steel cut oats freeze exceptionally well. Place cooled leftovers in an airtight freezer-safe container and freeze for 1-2 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator and reheat as usual.
Substitutions: Feel free to substitute the almond milk with any milk variety you’d like (dairy, oat, cashew, etc.). Brown sugar can be replaced with maple syrup or coconut sugar for alternative sweetness or vegan needs.
